Introduction
Every year thousands of children die in Sindh before reaching the age of five years, thousands of others live on with ill-health, disablement or poor growth. In this context the role of Press and journalists becomes exteremly relevant and cruicial. In July 1991 about 26 journalists of from Sindh Province of Pakistan gathered in Jamshoro at six day training workshop conducted by Mass Communication Department of Sindh University Jamshoro with collaboration of United Nation's Children Fund (UNICEF) and Press Institute of Pakistan (PIP) and They resolved to constitute SINDH JOURNALISTS NETWORK FOR CHILDREN (SJN).

Professor Ibad Rashidi Chairman Department of Mass Communication, Professor Zakariya Sajjid Director PIP, Mr. Nasee-ur-rehman Unicef Islamabad, Mr. Nasir Raza Jafferi Unicef Karachi and were advisor of SJN and they are still with SJN.
First President of SJN
Rehmatullah Kanwal Sindhi, a popular journalists and APNS Award(Largest award of journalisum, was first president of SJN. He is still with SJN.
SJN PROJECTS
() SJN playing active role in providing regular information to the communities, local administration, NGO'S, educationalists, health workers, child rights activists, through Newspapers and awareness campaign programmes and events.
() SJN conducted hundreds of Training workshops, Seminars, Surveys, for all stek holders of communities,

** SJN has planing to work for child rights, and for their free education, environment, Discremination againt children at all levels.
** Mobilize community leaders through writings and media campaign.
** To open Non Formal schools in Sindh.
** To start Advocacy for women and their families to stop honour killings of innocent women.
